If it's bakelite, I'd still recommend your laps, since these guitars can't be replaced! Image

But why don't you ask them, maybe if they'd be aware we're around, they could come up with something nice for us...

Way too pricey for what I looked at. 200 bucks for the dobro stand?? I don't think so.

I just strap my Rick to a Yamaha drum seat with 2 small bungy's. It's quite heavy and thus very stable and with a low center of gravity there is no tendancy to tip over. I can raise it to whatever height of the chair I'm sitting on. Flexible, solid and SAFE.

I tried one once - it is REALLY FOR DOBRO.
I sent it back. Won't work for lap steel. The jig that holds the instrument is a curved piece of metal intended to clamp the body of a guitar (dobro). It let's you tilt it and position it.

I use a $39 'x' stand , aka Ultimate Support keyboard X stand. Wrap the top bars with some foam rubber and it's really sturdy.
