Guitar strap for dobro?

Post by Marc Muller »

I've looked and called all around. Nobody has them or knows anything about them (even Gruhns in Nash!). Any info would be great. Thanks

Howard is steering you right there, Beard just started making the Web strap again - it's by far the best ever made for Dobro. Spendy but I'm convinced it's such an essential part of the instrument, we're including them with all our new Melobros.
They have a much wider band across your back with a quick release on the strap itself. Wraps around the head so you can get it away from your hand at the 1st fret.

Thanks for the info. Don't know why I didn't post this sooner. And Chris, wish it was for Shania unplugged, but for now it's just so I can play dobro standing up. Image

Marc,

Something to think about, if you haven't already: Make sure you use a strap locking device on the reso's end button. Playing in the standing position you are not holding the instrument. A real disaster if the strap comes off. Ouch!
