Fender Rep.

Post by Ted Smith »

I just got a really neat email from Jody Carver, one of the original Fender Rep.s who's specialty was selling the Stringmaster. Sent me some old Fender brochures with Noel Boggs and him playing Fenders...neat stuff. He's talking to us about building a Triple because he doesn't think he can find a Fender Triple in good condition still, has a Quad that he bought new in '57. I'm going to tell him about Cindy Cashdollars but does anyone else know of a Triple for sale? We can't build him one until September.

Ted: I have to amend what you said slightly.
Jody Carver's day job maybe involved selling Stringmasters, but his specialty was playing them. Man, what a great player! Those Hot Club recordings are some of the coolest things I've ever heard.
Enjoy your time off, by the way, Ted. I know personally from all the extra effort you put into building my Super Steel how hard you work. I'm sure having fun playing that guitar.
[This message was edited by Ian McLatchie on 16 January 2001 at 02:32 PM.]

Ted, I think that Herb Remington would build him a tripple neck. You might want to contact him. Just a thought.
