Doug,
This looks great. I don't know September Song by name, but I may recognize the melody, tho.
So, I'm gonna put in TablEdit and check it out. I think TE is a gas. If other players
haven't checked TE out, yet, they really don't know what they're missing. What a great tool. MHO

Doug,
BTW, how were you able to eliminate the
sometimes pesky stems in your tab? You mentioned before that Matt was working on a way to delete them. Is there some way already in TE to do this? I'm running TEa4,
and haven't checked in a while for any new update.
Thanks, CF

Chip,

To get rid of the stems in the tab:

1. click on the Print Preview icon
2. click on PRINT SETUP
3. click on DISPLAY
4. UNcheck NOTE STEMS

BTW, in the the latest version of Tabledit the stems do not go through the numbers. Chip, I sent you the tef file for September Song in an email. It should play on your computer, unless you have a Mac.

A couple of points about the notation for September Song...

When I set up the C6 tuning in the program, I entered string 9 (F) an octive low. That's why all notes played on string 9 are an octive lower than they should be in the notation. The tablature is correct however.

There is a lot of enharmonic spelling in the arrangement. For example, in measure 2 the G# note on an Ab chord. That note could be forced to Ab, which is the correct name for it in this situation.

Doug
the gifs/jpgs from the original post have disappeared - did you delete this from your Web site ?
I've just been trying to work this tune out, and would appreciate seeing your tab if you've still got it.

Thank you for the tab images, Doug. That was a very fast response. So, then, that's an example of the output with Tabledit??? Nice!
