in a nutshell, here's how tab works....
the lines going across the page represent your strings....the numbers represent your frets (numbers in a vertial line are played together, and numbers that are staggered are played one after the other, like a run or an arpeggio)......the numbers or letters in parenthasis to the right of the fret numbers represent which pedal or knee lever to engage.....1/2 means half step on a full step pedal
that pretty much sums it up....
hope it helped you....

Maybe this will help: How To Read Guitar Tab
It's for standard guitar, but the concept is the same. We just add letters after the fret numbers to indicate pedals and levers.
(From Ricky)
"I'm sorry Joey I worked on that link a little; and that page has been put on the back burner until they update their site. So I made the link to their guitar lessons page and will have tons of info on it soon."
Good site pal; and we can all use a lesson or two from it.
[This message was edited by Ricky Davis on 04 March 2002 at 12:07 PM.]

That's a nice site for guitar music theory, Ricky, but Harold is asking how to read tab.
David's post is correct, but I think an explanation with pictures is easier to understand. How about http://www.endprod.com/tab/ ?
BTW, I never have a problem with your edits.
No apologies necessary.
