Set 'Em Up Joe?
Does anyone know the intro on this? I can tell you have to detune the 10th string (kinda like on Slide Off Your Satin Sheets).I can get it pretty close I think, but I'd rather be dead on if I can.
Thanks

David, on most guitars if you tune the 10th string down 5 half tones from B to F# you will find that the A pedal that was raising the 10th string one full tone from B to C# will raise it 1 1/2 tones to A with no retuning of the pedal. It is a pretty neat sound that you can tune to and play around with it and go right back to the original tuning very easily and quickly.

Opps, Sorry: wrong song, wrong artist, wrong steel player, wrong intro.
I will try to read closer next time. Thanks Jim for pointing that out for me. I knew that Jim Vest played on the aforementioned song. Don't know where I was at when I wrote that.
Thanks again. George<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by George Duncan Sypert on 30 October 2000 at 04:52 PM.]</p></FONT>

Thanks for the responses guys. I think I've about got this one figured out. I tried it when I first started playing, and couldn't get it. I sat down and tried it the other day after I posted this and got it alot closer than I did before. If I can get it closer to what Jim Vest played, I'll post it.
Thanks
David
