Ceramic coating on a steel guitar

Post by Wayne Franco »

I have a MSA Studio pro and would like to know if anyone has put ceramic coating on a painted steel. I don't want to do that if its not a good thing to do. Any advice?

Thanks

Ceramic coating is a good idea for cars, which are subjected to rain, snow, ice, salt, mud, sand, bird droppings, crushed insects and all other kinds of dirt imaginable all year round. Can't see it doing much good on an indoor object, though.

Yeah... Ceramic coating is for cars, to keep the bugs off — unless you’re playing fast enough to hit mosquitoes dead. Of course, that would require a RED guitar.

If it's beer bottles one tries to fend off in those newer woke clubs which for what ever inexplicable reaon have abolished chicken wire... ceramic coating may not do the trick. :D

That is why I asked. It did work great on my car. But I know it would last too long and be almost impossable to remove. I will not put it on my guitar. It also doesn"t seem that anybody has done it.

Thank you for the reply's.
