Rick A-22 pot value
Does anyone know what’s the correct value( ohm) of a volume pot on A-22? The original one is like sealed pot like Allen Bradley except much bigger-
I don’t think Tele/strat pot works here due to shorter threaded sleeve.
Any suggestions??

Thank you, Rick! You are the man!
I should have measured it while everything was out of body for pick up cleaning(for better grounding contact), but I didn’t ( dah…)

Re: Rick A-22 pot value
If Rick says it's 100K, then he'd know the historical values.
That said, I recommend that you try out different values ranging from 25K to 250K and test it to your ear's liking. I've gone down as far as 25K while avoiding signal loss.
I've actually tried 5K pots too, but they bleed so much signal to ground that you actually lose signal and the volume is negatively affected, lol.
Enjoy!

Re: Rick A-22 pot value
Yeah, those aren't grounded with a wire. It grounds by the pickup plate hitting the body, or so I understand. I actually put a mandolin loop end around the pole of the high string and wrapped it around the screw that holds the pickup in for better ground. Lindy Fralin suggested putting a dab of solder on the bottom so it has better contact with the body though, too.Hiro Keitora wrote: 29 Oct 2025 9:11 pm Thank you, Rick! You are the man!
