Hilton Pro Guitar Volume Pedal

Post by Luke Player »

Hey all,

Just snagged myself a Hilton Pro Guitar volume pedal which i'm waiting to receive, was hoping to get the standard one for pedal steel but you take what you can get in Australia.

The obvious differences are the output & the off point control placement, different power supplies (all pretty minor IMO)

So- are these pedals the same in essence with some slight variations or am I missing something?

(tried to search the forum for this but couldn't find any definitive answers)

As far as I know the Pro just has an extra bit in the power section that bumps the 9v up to 24v. Otherwise I think they are the same circuit. The Pro Guitar is nice because it integrates into an existing pedal setup with no fuss, the Standard Guitar is nice because it's a bit cheaper. Otherwise everything including the case is the same.

Scroll down a bit in this thread for a side by side comparison. I ended up buying the older Hilton pedal and like it, but I take the pro guitar pedal on gigs because I can power it from my pedal board 9V bus cable.
