Has anyone heard of this player I of course have heard of Cowboy Eddie Long but this name popped up to me out of one of the Muscle Shoals studios and I was curious. Thank you, Marty

There is a fundraiser organized by a Clifford Long that is in aid of Cowboy Eddie Long that's raised in the area of $50.000. I don't know if this is the Clifford Long that you're looking for or not.
I don't know much but what I know I know very well.

Thats THE Cowboy Eddie Long, as in Cowboy from Hank Jr, Jamey Johnson etc...He relocated to MS about a year ago, and is primed and ready for lots of session work! Cowboys the greatest! Use him as much as you can! :)

Clifford is his first name, but he goes by the nickname of Cowboy, his name is Eddie Long. He’s been Steel Guitar player for Hank Williams Jr. from 1980 to 1995, then he was with Kenny Chesney, and most recent for the last 20+ years, Jamey Johnson. There’s plenty of stuff on here about him. And I’m pretty sure that I answered your question when I responded before.
