I was also enamored with this tune when I was a teen. It was probably the first jazz guitar solo I ever really took interest in. A few years ago I transcribed and played Grant’s solo on lap steel, a very satisfying undertaking that brought great closure for me. Not gonna post a link in someone else’s thread but it’s out there.
