Using Peavey NV112 speaker with a Quilter Superblock
I'm fiddling around with my Peavey Nashville 112 trying to find where I can plug a speaker cable into it and connect with my Superblock. Anyone else use just a Peavey Nashville cab and speaker with an external amp?

I don't have a NV 112 but I believe the power amp and construction of my Bandit 112 is similar. I'm doing what I think you're asking about.
As the speaker is "hard wired" to the amplifier, you would need to make up a speaker cord with 1/4 jack on one end and "faston" crimp type terminals (other end) to match the speaker terminals. It's VERY important that the wires from the peavey amp are completely disconnected from the speaker before connecting the new speaker cable. Otherwise damage can occur to the PV and/or the SB even if they are not switched on. Make a note (or picture) of which color wire from the PV goes to which terminal on the speaker so you can reconnect them correctly. Polarity of the new SB speaker cable doesn't matter.
If you're going to switch back and forth often, it would be good to install a toggle switch or panel mount jack to accomplish the above connections. It's much easier to run the internal speakers in Fender combo amps like this as they (mostly) are plug connected. I do this with my Quilter SB.
The Quilter SB manual has a warning that the speaker output is to be connected to a speaker ONLY. These amps can be damaged if either side of the speaker output is grounded. I'd avoid using any external A-B switch boxes.

I have "split" the speaker wires on several amplifiers, re-connecting them with male and female 1/4" jacks. So that I can use the amplifier head only with another speaker, or use the speaker alone with another amplifier head. Has been handy for experimentation, or for backup/emergency fixes. All the usual advice about match the ohm load for the amp and speaker applies.

Yep this would probably sound better with the additional watts. BE SURE THE AMPS ARE TURNED OFF, BEFORE REMOVING OR INSERTING A SPEAKER LINE INTO THE SPEAKER JACK.
As the plug goes through the the ground sleeve, The positive tip can short out in the ground sleeve.
Had a Evans AH 200 wrecked, When a so called sound man pulled the line plug out of speaker cabinet. Because my amp. had fallen off cart started the problem, Insurance company paid the bill.
Edited: My mistake, He pulled the cable out of speaker cabinet.
