I'd like to work with someone who plays better than I do towards getting some alternate sounds from PSG. Namely, organ and dobro. Both have been done before, but I think there's room for improvement. This could be a big boon to gigging steel plays. You could imagine how useful you might be to a gigging band if at the flip of a switch you can go from steel to dobro to B3 organ and not have it sound gimmicky.
My though on the dobro chain would be something like:
guitar>maybe acoustic sim>EQ>Fishman Jerry Douglas IR pedal
Organ would be:
guitar>compressor>EHX C9>Strymon Lex
It turns out the organ sim can be pretty straight forward and very convincing, while the dobro sim can be challenging. I have all the pedals to do this, just need some talent to play while I tweak. It would just be sort of fun to try and maybe we could post results back to the community here. If you had a match-bro to throw into the mix here that would be even better, but not necessary. The Jerry Douglas pedal is going to probably take its place here.
I also have some of the other EHX pedals that do synth, melotron, and electric piano we could throw in the mix for fun.
