A bump to remind that this extraordinary event is one week from today...August 4th from 1-3 PM. Featuring Bobby Black and Jay Dee Maness on stage together accompanied by an all-star band that consists of all Western Swing Hall of Fame players that include the great Jimmy Baughman on guitar; Janice Allen Terry on vocals; Carl Bowers on trombone; Bill Cornett on drums; Chuck Webb on bass; and Ralph Chase on keyboard.
This may end up being a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the twin steels of JayDee Maness and Bobby Black playing live together. We pray that it's not true, but Bobby has hinted at retirement from live playing...

Yeah, this may actually be the LAST time you can come and hear these 2 legendary steel players playing together... at least in Northern California.
As to these 2 steel pickers being the nicest folks in our world....
Few would disagree.... such models for the next generation of steel players!
I'll be there for sure.

Home, after the incredible performances from Jay Dee and Bobby Black.
So nice to meet Jay Dee Jr. (he was helping his dad to set up).
All in all, what a kick-ass western swing/country music tribute.
Bill, you're wife just booted it outta the park! So much energy, such a good time!
