When it rains it pours ... literally was stuck in Ft. Lauderdale International Airport for an 8 hr rain delay ... after a quick trip to show our kids where we grew up in West Palm Beach & Lake Worth ..
Waiting for me were two packages ..
First, a Trotmore that I got here on the forum ... It sounds wonderful and plays like a dream ... mucho mahalos to forum member John Widgren ... a pleasure to do business with
Second, Jerry Byrd's personal photo album. Hundreds of photographs from the 40's & 50's ... given to me by my buddy Jeff Kearns. I'm going to put up a page on my website to feature all the music related photos ... there are a lot of personal photos of his wife and children too, that I'll leave out.
WOW, this is so cool Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Thanks for sharing. You should bring the Trotmore to HSGA this year, Captain Ivan's Hippie Band needs a gig
I went thru some emotional angst about selling the Trotmore. I really loved the guitar, and You dont see them every day etc etc.
Now that its gone, I can say that the guitar has absolutely gone to the right person, and I am very pleased that Rick agrees about how lovely it is to play, and what a marvelous and rare object it is to own and take care of for future generations.
I still have may beloved clinesmith short scale frying pan which is a joy too.
Enjoy enjoy!
