Today January 27th is Buddy Emmons birthday. He has been gone for a few years and I sure miss him like everyone does. I just cannot remember anyone that has made such a contribution to pedal steel like he did. IMHO, the greatest steel player ever.

A master player to remember. I didn't fully understand the concept of mastering the pedal steel until I became a player. Once I engaged in the process it didn't take long to see who were the leaders. Buddy Emmons was an incredible musician, innovator, and creative musician. There will never be another like Buddy.
