Ramsey Lewis RIP @ 87 years old

RIP Ramsey Lewis. I always liked his “In crowd” pop/jazz version of that song.
A banjo, like a pet monkey, seems like a good idea at first.

Thanks for posting. Yes, I was always a big fan of all his RLQ instrumentals. My kind of piano. Excellent musician.

Highly recommend "Ramsey Lewis: Finest Hour" for his hits. Ramsey Lewis Trio "Time Flies" for more recent work. both wonderful. Sad to read. I have memories of being in my grandparent's house with Take Five and Ramsey Lewis playing on the "victrola".

Sorry to hear about this.
Such a soulful player. His Christmas CD is in heavy rotation around here during the holidays.
