Removing peizo quack

Does anyone know of a Pro Tools plug-in for removing that peizo "quack" tone from an acoustic guitar track?

Nope, but the Fishman Aura pedal is the best thing I've heard to eliminate what you are talking about. Not an "after-the-fact" fix though.

yep, the so called dreaded QUACK has to be solved ahead of the track recording. There is no magic plug-in to fix it after the fact.

As Lee suggests, the alternative is to NOT use the AC guitar Piezo but rather track with a condenser mic, or heck any mic that you like the sound of. The QUACK is an artifact of the Piezo being over-driven with too much sound for it to handle. Kinda like an amp with limited headroom ! OR track with a quality preamp...

OR... get another guitar !

I have Two Taylors, a 414CE which has NO Quack and a 110E which I acquired at a dang good price, but it QUACKS and it bugs me so I hardly use it plugged in.

The Piezo along with the combination of electronics, or lack thereof, is where the Quack comes from.

Generally speaking guitars that QUACK need to be sent to a preamp before a PA or recording interface, set your guitar levels low enough so the there is no quack and let the preamp boost the signal.

The preamps I use live are a Baggs Para Di or the Baggs Venue. No Quack.

Gotta find the happy balance with the Quackers...
