A friend of mine is using Sonar Producer X1 to record his steel together with pre-recorded backtracks. He is always scouting for backtracks to use, and do find some good ones and others not so good. I suggested why doesn't he use his Sonar to create his own tracks.....Says he thought about that, but has no idea how to load and use the on-board sound modules that come with Sonar. I offered to write him an 'Idiot-proof' tutorial, which is easy to follow. Plenty screenshots as well.
Anybody else interested in this? Just drop me an email.
At present it is in Microsoft Word format, But I can covert it to pdf easily. Let me know which format you would prefer.

Hi Jack,
I have two midi keyboard controllers.....but since using X1, and now X2, I found that I can be just as quick by programming everything using just the PC keyboard. Yeah, certain things, like busy piano stuff is easier to input when you use a dedicated midi controller keyboard, althuogh the time spend in editing everything to get it 'in time' made me decide to just use the piano roll using my PC keyboard. Writing this tutorial is aimed at taking the mystery out of working with the built-in modules. It's actually so easy....once you get the hang of it, you won't look back.
