im having trouble getting my computer to recognize and be able to play my file from the recorder. i go out from the korg's usb into the laptop, it sees them, but it says its unable to play the file. if i cant get it in my computer, i cant get it to the forum. any ideas? i tried to follow the manual, but no luck.

From the quickstart manual for this recorder, it looks like your 3200's 4GB hard drive becomes an external drive to the PC and then you can copy the wav files to the PC. Thus, after you have the wav files transferred to a folder on the PC's hard drive you can then play them, edit the wav files (with an audio editor), burn them to an standard Audio CD or even convert them to mp3.

From the manual:
Backup your data to computer using USB:
The D3200 has a 4GB partition dedicated for file transfers to/from the computer via a USB connection.
Partition size can be set to 2, 4 or 8GB, depending on your needs. First, the data must be copied to the
4GB partition, and then that partition can be mounted on your computer desktop. Individual tracks can by
transferred as WAV files, or entire songs can be backed up.

I always just used Audacity and recorded from my Korg 1600 audio outs to computer. Some say you lose something from analog back to digital but my ears couldn't tell it and noone else could either. I never did get my conputer to recognize the board.
