16bit at 44.1 K/hz

help,
i am recording with a little presonus inerface,
on my old lap top.I am using adobe audition 3 as my software program.Is 16 bit at 44.1 or 48 what i should convert the file down to when i save the session and track.

16 bit/44.1Khz is the standard audio file format. That is what "CD quality" audio is (what is on a CD).

48Khz is used by the video industry as 48Khz will sync with commercial video.

I have a home recording studio, using Sonar X2. I record at 24 bit/44.1Khz and my mixdowns to standard wav audio is 16 bit/44.1Khz.
