Free computer recording

Post by Jerry Recktenwald »

I have been using a program called Kristal and it's free. I hook up a 1/8" jack to the mic input of my computer and a 1/4" to my guitar . I like it ! :D

Yea just plug in a stereo jack from your mp3 player and record it on the first track. Then record your steel on the second track. Want to play a piano , six string guitar ? just add to the other tracks. It's works like a cassette.

JERRY - Today I did my first recording using KRISTAL software, it took me some time to get it all going, like 5 hours, I'm all new to this recording stuff. I first recorded my 6 string guitar, when I played it back it was awesome, I thought' "who the hell is the guitar player" that's how good the recording tuned out.

Then I tried my EMCI using a Lexicon 100, no tracks, I never heard myself recorded before. I used just the steel this time, no tracks. My steel sounded totally different from what I have been hearing for the last 32 years, again, was it me playing or some steel player indside my Dell.

JERRY, thanks a million, if it was'nt for you I would have never known how I sound playing my steel.

Now for the tracks.
