I have a studio monitor speaker that went out. It's an 8 ohm speaker but its reading "open" when I check it with a meter so I know the voice coil is gone and the speaker will have to be replaced.
I went online and bought a 6.5 woofer with a 1.5 voice coil. It looked very similar to the original. Anyway I installed and it sounded like crap(muffled and flat) I know matching speakers is very hard to do but I wasn't expecting a sound difference as drastic as this.
Does anyone know what kind of speakers I should get?
