Clip On Banjo Mic

Post by Dan Blaisdell »

Not sure this is the right place for this post, but does anyone have experience mic'ing a banjo? I'd like to get a clip on/stick on mic but have no idea what's good or bad. Thanks.

Hi, Dan, I have an ATM 35 small condenser mic on a gooseneck used for sax, brass, banjo, I've been using it with great results on my dobro. Very realistic sound, small and unobtrusive. Similar to this model:

$150 shipped.

This works well for when it's too loud...

Thanks Mark. For now I'm gonna go with one of two old AKG's.
