Good morning Jim,
Send me an email so I have you email address, and I will send
you the links you need to download the free programs you need.
I'll also send you my phone # in case you need additional help.
I'm home all day, and check my email often.

Youtube videos are flash video files which end in extension .flv
I use to do this a lot. From what I remember, I used Moyea FLV downloader to save the files. That saves it as a flv file. Then I used AVS Video Converter to convert it to DVD. You can also add as many flv's as you want and it would combine them to a single video.
By the way, if you are intersted in understanding how it works, I'll explain.
A DVD video is a little more complex than people think. It is composed of two folders, Audio TS and Video TS. The Video TS folder usually contains all the data. There are several files with different extensions (.iso, .bup, .vob, etc) The .vob files are the actual video files broken down in sections depending on how long the video is. (by the way I use VLC vob player software to view these individual files) These .vob files are managed by the other files which tell your DVD player how to play the .vob video files.

Joe, what I do to get the youtube vids saved to my pc is go to the link in the address bar and remove the www. and replace it with save and then click enter.
This will load a new page and a pop up will come up, select "run" and then it will load the page with a number of different file extensions .mp4, .flv, etc. Pick the one you want and click on it to save it to your hard drive.
I do this all the time for any vids I want to save. If they ever get booted from youtube or your internet connection goes down I have them on my computer.
You can burn them to dvd once you have them on your hard drive.
Hope this helps,
Keith

If you're using a Mac it's easy. Play the youtube video and hit Command/Option/A. That will bring up a window showing you everything running on your computer. Just scroll down and find the largest thing, which is usually the video. Double click on it and it will start downloading. Since it's a .flv file you'll need to have VLC Media player installed to view it. It's a free software. There's also a great software called iskysoft that will convert just about any format video or audio file to whatever format you want. You can convert those videos to WAV files for iTunes as well.
