Ok guys, for you all that are new at computer recording and want a "one stop shop" , look no further than the C12! It serves as an interface(a means to get audio in and out of the computer), a control surface for Cubase and all variations of cubase(control surface= in laymans terms a "hardware" device that controls the on screen "software" aspects..ie when i use the jog wheel on the hardware, the on-screen jog wheel moves), Microphone preamps, monitor control, and DI..
I bought one for my little home studio and I am seriously blown away. The mic amps are very high headroom, the control surface integrates seamlessly with Cubase (and many other programs(I use it with samplitude!) and it comes bundled with the VERY intuitive Cubase AI5.
and for around 200 bucks taboot! A stereo mic preamp, interface, control surface, DI, volume control, and headphone amp all in one?? A NO BRAINER!
