At The Parlor right now on 16th, cutting Maurice Williams (of "Stay" fame), and the lap steel shut the MAC down.

Yes, the sound of the lap kept crashing the MAC.

What happened: small room, lots of players. Stuck me in the machine room. All was ok with regular steel levels, but the increased level of the lap distortion made the computer freak and shut down. After the day was done, I moved to another location, and it was fine.

I think Maurice lives in Charlotte,or in the area, I recall doing some sort of a gig not all that long ago he was in the room, we spoke a few minutes then I went back to the stage on the floor.. :roll:

Michael.. if you can find a way to use the lap steel to shut down the loud obnoxious rap music coming from the cars of 65 south and 40 east... you could easily become the next President of the United States! ( Lord knows we need one ) :lol:
