I lost my Sister this morning
Her name is Joanne and she would have been 83 in June. She had been ill for a couple of years and in a rest home.Journalist and writer with 2 books out and a third in the works. She kept writing right up til the end.My wife and I were very close to her and kept in contact even though we were always miles apart. She had two children and 3 grand children.
She had a great sense of humor. When we talked on the phone it was always a bunch of chuckles and wise cracks. My heart aches tonight.God take care of my sister.

Sorry to hear this, Papa Joe. It's something we all have to go through eventually. We lose our loved ones and we can't bring them back. Then we think of all the things we meant to tell them but never got round to. Over the coming years you see things that you want to run by them but they're not there anymore. We just have to come to terms with the fact that we're mortal, we live our lives and then we have to move aside for the next generation. Among all the animals on the planet, we're the only ones who seek to come to terms with our own mortality. You just have to look at her life as a story, which has come to a conclusion. All stories need a start, a continuation, and a conclusion.

Papa Joe,
I can feel your pain as I read your post. It's great that your sister was able to express herself so well through her gift of writing - and leaves her published work for others to share that piece of her.
Please accept our deepest condolences at this difficult time.
