Remembering and Missing John Hughey

Post by Bill Napier »

We remember and miss Papa John daily. Just a reminder that today, a few years back, he was born. Happy Birthday Up There, John. Watch over Miss Jean and your family for all of us.

Bob & Judy.....we, too, miss John tremendously....there's not a day goes by that I'm reminded of him....when I sit down to play, I think of how John would play it......I'll never stop thinking and remembering my dear friend.

John was a "one and only" -- there will never be another John Hughey.

For a lot of pictures of and music by John, go to my website and click on the tab that says "In Memory of John Hughey." You will also find a great interview of John by Danny Hullihen where John talks about his music career.

Look at Us

Post by Allen Howington »

When I "Look at Us" without John, it is sad. But I'm sure he would want us all to continue forward with a friendly smile as he always did. It goes without saying that he loved the steel guitar, and all his steel guitar friends. Nothing would satisfy John anymore, than for all of us to continue to promote and enjoy the steel guitar as he did with us all!

I think of him every time I sit behind my guitar. Rest in Peace "Papa John".
