Thank you Terry, that first break reminds
me a lot of the late John Hughey's playing.
And the second one is so ahead of its time.
Amazing indeed !

Curley didn't even play E9th until he went to Nashville in the late '60's I believe it was, which couldn't have been but a few years before these were taped. This just proves what a real musician this guy was. He got a great sound with those old MSA Classics too.

MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.

Can't tell which one I like better. His C6th or his E9th

I like them both better :) One of my favorite steel albums is his Nashville Sundown album that is all E9th.

Lets not forget to mention the Wilburn Brothers and all of the great music they made. They were great musicians as well as true southern gentlemen.
