Hi
SGF :
Here's a picture of a steel guitarist that I'd like for you to try to identify.
This is a very difficult question and so maybe we can have a little fun with it.
Good luck,
Al Gershen

I don’t really know, and I don’t recognize the shirt…must be some band uniform.
Judging by the right and left hand positions, my guess would be Buddy Emmons. I know it’s not me because I have never played a Sierra!!

Great hands! This guy really looks like he knows what he's doing!
Pinky around first string suggests Emmons.
Can't be Joe Wright cuz Joe holds his wrist a lot higher.

Look at the guitar. It has to be some guy named Sierra.

To me it looks like Doug Livingston's hand (and shirt) style but he doesn't play a Sierra

Buddy Emmons would NEVER wear a shirt that looked like that!
I think it's Smiley Roberts because he would!

It looks like Buddys left paw, and he said he was getting arthritis in his hands. You can see the swollen knuckels.

The hand is arched to high on the pinky finger side. And he's playing to close to the pickup to be Emmons (unless) he's doing this just for effect. Not Buddy's normal hand stance.Looks more like Day,I'll guess Bill Stafford.

There appears to be some small gadget on the third string, so it must be Bill Hankey.

Maybe it would have been easier to guess what song he is playing..
I'm going to call Miss Cleo and send her the photo and I am certain she will tell me who it is ...

Well if you take out the "%20" (which is spaces in the address of the picture,) the picture is titled:
Jim's Hands on Sierra PSG
Obviously it's somebody named Jim.
