Does anybody know the tab to Ace in Hole?
this is my first post here as a member....
I can't say enough about what a terrific site this is and how nice it is to so many talanted people sharing their gift....
"VIVA LA PEDAL STEEL FORUM dot COM!!!"
anyway, if you have a lick or two from this classic tune for C6 or even E9th it would be greatly appreciated....I'm new to the steel guitar and any information would be great...
Thanks everybody
David

Hey David!
If nobody else has thier own thoughts on this tab, you can look at b0bs' links page under steel venders/instruction. Bill Chaviers' site shows Ace in the Hole for a non pedal a6 tuning. This shouldn't be a limitation though, because it will probably match you middle 6 strings on your c6 neck. Most the fun I've had with that neck was to learn the song w/o pedals then experiment with the pedals and outer strings...now if I could only practice what I preach!...free advice is fun though, aint it? I'm not sure of Bills' process for sending you the tab but it appears to be via e-mail
Hope it helps David,
Tom

excellent advice
)
it gave me a whole new angle actually....
I'm changing the strings on my dobro and tuning to A6 right now, I'm a lot more at home on that than the pedal steel, and I feel that I can make a little more sense out of it without all the contraptions to think about....haha
once I lick the dobro style, I can apply it to the steel and dink with the pedals
anyways, thanks again for the advice
ps....I'm still searching for some pedal licks of this tune if anybody is in the mood to post some
