Emmons LeGrande pedal rod question
I recently received some replacement pedal rods from a supplier and there seems to be some question about the diameter of the steel rod.
I have two LeGrands and both use a 1/8" size pedal rods. One is threaded for 08-32 connector and the other 10-32 conector.
The replacement rods I received were made with 3/16 steel so too large to fit into the cross shaft connection. The supplier said he used an Emmons Legrand rod to copy those replacements.
Does anyone know if Emmons used both 1/8" and 3/16" rods on this model?
thanks for any comments.

Re: Emmons LeGrande pedal rod question
Hi Larry,
I just remeasured the rods on my guitar and they measure about .160 and the replacements I received measure .188
So my Emmons old rods are close to the size your guitar came with.
I think these larger rods he sent may fit a push pull. I had a mid 60's push pull a few years back and I seem to remember it had larger diameter pull rods. The PP don't connect through a hole in the cross shaft. They just looped over a notch at the cross shaft.
Thanks for your reply. Maybe others could chime in if any comments.
thanks!

Re: Emmons LeGrande pedal rod question
With the exception of the earliest models, all LeGrandes used a 5/32" rod diameter and an 8-32 thread. Push pulls used a 10-32 thread, made either from full size 3/16" rod or rolled threads on a slightly smaller rod.

Lonnie,
Can I ask where you got them? I need a set. Just got a Legrande and somebody along the line shortened the rods. Must have been a real squaty-body!
