I rediscovered an old Electro-Harmonix memory man that I had bought back in the 80s. It's an analog delay in a rather large stomp box and surprisingly sounds damn good still. It uses the old bucket brigade chips. It has an AC power cord which I like vs batteries or wall-wart. However, it's totally manual and is not conducive to quick effects change on the gig.
I miss my old Yamaha RV500 for it's quick presets recall. Unfortunately, it's dry sound is not so good. Looking at a schematic it uses too low a power suppply IMO, so I don't use it.
I'm not a big fan of stomp boxes. I think we PSG guys have enough to do with our feet. I'd prefer a half rack digital unit that I can hang off the right side of my pack-a-seat front panel facing up.
Anybody have a recommendation for a digital delay affects/reverb unit that meets that criteria?
latest in delay/reverb half rack

Well yeah, long in the tooth half rack Boss SE70 or SE50. 70 has more stuff but either has great effects including delay, reverb and a lot more. Pretty easy to program patches. From the 90s, but has good stuff.
Certainly not the latest but maybe the best.
I'm still using one like you say hooked on my seat since about 20 yrs. ago.
