I had one. I liked the sound, and it was easy to EQ for steel. It had a fan that was too noisy other than club or outdoor use.

Hey Jack,
I have a MiniMax that Hartley gave me a few years ago.

For bass, I use it with a 2/10 Trace Elliott (Peavey) cabinet. It is killer.

For steel, I put it in my rack along with my ProFex II and play through either 1 or 2 of the new Peavey Celestion (prototypes) speakers.
Other than my NV112, it is my favorite rig of all time.

The MiniMax has PLENTY of power, small, lightweight and plenty of controls to dial in your tone.

Get yourself one. You won't be sorry.
AUTHORIZED PEAVEY, George L's, Goodrich dealer. I have 2 steels and several amps. My current rig of choice is 1993 Emmons LeGrande w/ 108 pups (Jack Strayhorn built for me), Goodrich OMNI Volume Pedal, George L's cables and Peavey Nashville-Session 112 or 115.

Hi Bill
Nice hearing from you..
I am really leaning to this unit..
Heard some stories about fan noise..
Has this been an issue for you?
Hope all is well..

The fan is a little noisy, but the unit is in such a small package, it has to have a cooling fan.

You would never hear it on a stage.

Let me know what you think.

Oh, are you going to buy used or NEW?
If new, get in touch with me and I will try to save you a few bucks.

I don't want to put my phone # on here. And I am sure you understand why.
