Rattler arrived today.

Post by Jack Carpenter »

I just got my Rattler from Ted Smith today. This is one sweet little guitar folks. I hooked it up to my Nashville 400 and talk about a nice tone. Melloooooo. I can't decide to use my 10 string bar with it or the one I just got from Jim Burden for a six string. (Jim makes some real nice bars too). Anyway, I think I am hooked on Lap Steel. Ill keep the MSA around but this one is fun! Thanks Ted, its more than you said and it was going to be. It was packed so that even UPS couldn't destroy it. (It looks like they dropped it at least once). I will be in touch
with Melobar when they are up and running again to see what new Lap's they have. Jack

Mark,

cool site! Couldn't find the Rattler, though. And your "future of Steel Guitar" looks pretty dark to me Image

Good one, Martin! Of course it's a work in progress, when I ever get a few minutes off the road... the rattler is pictured on the page of electric lap steels on the Steel Guitar Store section. Let me know if you need 'em and I'll email you pics and info when I get back off the road Monday.
