Selling a piece of Family History... check this one out

click here to see an interesting piece of family history being auctioned off (complete with steel fingers!)... Auntie's old Rickenbacher. It seems that Auntie did over 300 volunteer USO performances on her lap steel during the WWII. The best part of this auction is the vintage photo of Auntie playing the Rick for a group of soldiers. Let all the photos load and check it out. I wonder if the photo comes with the guitar?

It must be difficult to part with an heirloom like that. Your aunt must have been wonderful woman. Good luck with the sale!!

I was just noting that someone is auctioning off a piece of their family musical history. I wish it were my aunt!

this one looks just about identical to me, yet it only fetched $680 (maybe because of high shipping costs from Oz). I bid several times but I got pipped at the post

The $680 6-string also comes with a $120 flat rate shipping fee.... Makes it a little more like $800 if my high scool algebra is still acurate

Last time I looked at it, the price was at $1275.00!!!! I wish I had a truckload of them things to sell!!!

Ah,but you have the law of supply and demand in effect here. If you have one, you will get your price as we have seen. If you have a truckload of them, it's time for a discount sale........
