hi i'am looking for a good rack mount cd burner to go with my roland vs2480. wanted to get some info on what you use and how the unit is working? whats the best unit for the money?

I really like the Alesis Masterlink. It has some decent "finalizing" or Mastering software you can use or not, and holds a good amount of files you can organize into playlists for burning discs- if you don't do a whole lot of projects you can keep them all on the unit ready to burn, or reload one at any time from a regular CD. The CDs it burns are industry redbook standard, so you can send them directly to a reproduction facility if needed. Nice unit.

mark is right about the masterlink. you can sometimes get a used one off ebay for a couple hundred. lots of guys are taking them offline and going to laptops. i sure like mine!
