Audacity

Post by Ken Lang »

I loaded Audacity on my win 7 to see about changing the pitch of a song. In the brief look at directions I saw only changing the speed of a song to change the pitch. Is there a way to change pitch without changing speed?

I have "The amazing Slow Downer" which will do both or either.
I was just wondering if Audacity might be easier.

In the effects dropdown menu there is a "change speed" and "change tempo". One changes speed and pitch, the other just speed.

Yes. I understand that now and have done it several times. It's too bad they don't have a way to get a song exactly on pitch. The only way I've found to get an MP3 on pitch is trial and error and compare it with
a known pitch, such as a guitar tuner.
