I use Studio One Pro with a Presonus StudioLive 16. All you need to record, mix and master.

I am quite new to Presonus products (used Cubase before) but from what I have experienced and researched it is a great sounding product with the easiest workflow.

I think more people will when they realize Presonus software and hardware is the easiest to use and best intergrated pro recording equipment there is.

I, too, use Studio One....it's fantastic. I am good friends with Rick Naqvi the VP of Presonus.....He has helped me a great deal when it comes to learning and understanding the ins and outs of the software. I've also done some recording work in his studio in BR. HAL

I use Sonar (currently X1b Professional), but I had a trial version of Studio One. I liked it and if I were to change it would be on my short list. I had a 30 day trial version of ProTools 8 and I didn't like it as well.

I have never got a Presonus Firewire model such as the Firestudio, or the earlier models, to work or work correctly. The last one I got was a Firestudio and it had a hardware problem (confirmed by Presonus Tech Support). I have a Firewire connected Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 which is about the same as the Firestudio (8 analog channels) and it works great. I also had an Aleis IO26 and it had no problems either. (I have a T.I. Firewire chipset in my PC, which is required for DICE II Firewire interfaces as used by Focusrite, Presounus and many others).

I have a Presonus Blue Tube (dual channel model) preamp that I always use for vocal recording. Mic to Blue Tube (I always use the tube settings) to the Saffire Pro 40.

(Sorry for getting off subject).
