Anyone Using a Monitor Routing System. Need Help

Like the Big Knob or Central Station.

I finally found time to set up my Presonus Central Station (PCS). I had to go buy an optical cable, I pieced together the rest from my stock.
I have a real basic setup.
Here is my setup:

VS2480 monitor outs to PCS - Analog Input TRS1 L/R w/ 2-1/4" TRS cables
DellSPX soundcard to PCS - Digital Input TOSLINK w/Optical cable
PCS analog Cue outputs to headphone mixer w/2-1/4" TRS cables

Here's my problem. The playback from the Dell sounds great. Incredible actually. The meters on the PCS are calibrated and tracking fine on the Dell playback.
The playback from the VS2480 is low. The meters are tracking low. I can't fine a way to get the VS2480 levels up. The songs I'm playing back have always had hot levels before.
What I don't understand is the PCS is totally passive, so my connection is the same as it was before.

BTW. I'm stoked about this unit. It really cleaned everything up. I also have the CRS remote. Having one main volume at the tip of your fingers is cool.

Hey Chris,
I looked at one of those a while back but didn't pull the trigger, just wasn't real high on my priority list at the time. That said, I remembered that the meters could be calibrated, and I found this explanation on the web:

Not sure how that affects the optical input from the PC.. it's not clear to me. I do remember that even though the unit is passive, that there is attenuation available on each input. It sounds like you may need to trim down the optical level somehow to match levels with the VS outputs.. maybe from the PC itself?

Is the Roland a -10 output? The CS is looking for a +4 balanced input on TRS 1&2--the Aux Input is a rca -10 input--try the outs of the Roland to that and see it it cranks there. There may be a setting in the Roland to make the main out either +4/-10...The CS is a great box, i have three of them...

OK John that was it. I switched the TRS inputs to the Aux and now I have good levels all around.
I really like this unit. I have the remote so volume control for everything is right at my fingertips.
The signal is very clean too.
