Not yet. Version 11 is getting a little old so I'm not sure what options you do have. In Version 2009 you can "Render" your song as a Stereo Wave (.wav) file. Go to Audio Menu and look for "Render to Stereo Wave File".

Once it is in wave file format there are several programs that can convert the wave to MP3. So it looks like this is still a two step process, but very doable.

I havent uses BIAB yet. Not sure about PC, but on Mac you can use Garage Band or Logic to import MIDI song files. Check each track soloed and set to an appropriate sound if not already specified. Usually General Midi files assign voices (tracks) by channel. Once you've got the backing track sounding properly, just export or "bounce" to an AIFF or WAV file. This AIFF file (or files) can be burned to CD in audio format. I use Toast on Mac. Do you have Quicktime? This may be the easiest solution. Quicktime can play General Midi files and export as audio AIFF (or .WAV on PC) too. The point here is that in order to burn a file to audio CD, it must be in the WAV or AIFF format, so dont bother exporting as mp3. The audio files take up about 10 times the size of an mp3, so make sure you've got enough disk space. You may want to delete the audio files from your PC after sucessfully burning a CD, unless you think you'll need them for future CDs. Hope this helps.

I believe most if not all Audio CD programs will burn MP3's to an audio CD format. I do this all the time. But, it is better to use a higher quality audio file such as a Wave.

BIAB > Wave > Audio CD

or BIAB > MP3 > Audio CD

or

BIAB > MP3 > MP3 Player or MP3 Data Disk

Most new car and DVD/CD audio systems will play MP3 files burned to a CD as MP3 data.

Kenneth, I just used "Switch Sound File Converter" which is a free download to convert a midi file to mp3 and it worked, although it took longer than converting a wav to mp3 or mp3 to wav which it does lickety split.

Ken, I've never done this but you might want to take a look at this area as a quicker way:


Go to Menu AUDIO then BURN AUDIO CD then look for a button in the upper right area that says BATCH and click on it.

This will open up a window that lets you create a Batch of song files. However, I think you can creat a Batch of ONE. If so there is an option to set the "audio File type" and one of those options is MP3!

You do need to have some type of MP3 codec (converter file) installed as BIAB does not provide one but most PCs now come with at least a generic converter.

If you do try this I'd love to know if it works.
