Gary Butler RIP

Post by Tommy R. Butler »

Gary Butler passed this morning. Gary played with Webb Pierce, The Forrester Sisters, and most recently Doug Stone for a long time. Gary was a heck of a guy, and a great great musician.

I will miss his jokes and his great piano playing.

Another great player gone, he was a great guy and a great player. I worked with him on a Patsy show in Dickson TN a couple of years ago. We had a great time together. I will miss him as a friend.

Gary was a great keyboardist and a great guy with whom to travel and perform. At the time of his passing, Gary was in Florida, where he was working a theatre show for the last month or so. Doug is very saddened and we're planning a memorial show to celebrate Gary's life and to benefit his widow and survivors; date and time to be announced. Goodbye, my brother. It was an honor to share the stage with you.
