:?: what's the best mixer for a home studio i record a lot of live band's am using a old pro audio 16 ch mixer just wanted to up grade thanks.

Hey Gary,
The answer would depend a lot on your budget and what the rest of your setup is, are you mixing live to 2-track, multi track to tape, into Pro Tools, etc.

I am coming out of the mixer in to some preamps then to the interface then to comp to record, am also using live drums though the mixer so i will need a 16 ch. board or 20 ch. i just wanted to see what other studio's was using thought I would up grade to a better mixer.

You shouldn't need mic preamps after the mixer but OK. Would really depend on your budget, 16 channel mixers range from $400 to $50,000! What are you using now?
