VHS to DVD
What is the (Best)Least cost way of putting My VHS tapes on Disc?
If I have to buy a recorder then what is the transfer(time) on disc, how many hours of video can I expect on a single disc?
Best regards
Billy

Hi Billy, the best and easiest way is to get hold of a recorder , the vhs to dvd type . the transfer time is in real time, so a four hour tape will take four hours.
the amount of video per dvd will be down to the quality
that you set , the lower the quality the more you can get on a dvd. I have done quite a lot of transfers for people in Spain and I found that the above way to be the best and the quickist....John

A standalone DVD recorder, if you have a VHS tape player is all that is needed. The dual VHS/DVD burner types are nice, just depends on $$.
But the least desireable is using a PC and the extra hardware for the PC. By the time you buy what hardware you need to be able to interface your VHS tape player/recorder to the PC you may as well go buy the standalone DVD recorder and the PC route is a hassle and it will tie up your PC for long periods of time.
