What great sets Llolyd did at the wembley festivals.
The promoter Mervyn Conn brought us many of the great names from the U.S.
The BBC broadcast the highlights of the festival and we got six half hour programmes every year.
What a pity the BBC dont give us any country music now on a regular basis.
It is good to see this video of Lloyd green again , I had all of the festivals on video tape but over the years some have been lost , accdentally recorded over or are worn out from over use.

Thank you!! What a video. It is one of those classics. A keeper for sure.
Crowbear, from what I have read, Lloyd does not pick block. I read some place that he accomplishes his fast blocking with his palm. But then he is the one who invented 'chicken pickin'.
The interesting part is to study his right hand. He accomplishes his clean playing and super blocking totally contrary to 'set rules'. The way we have learned to palm block is to lift the arm at the elbow, ie use the whole arm.
Not Lloyd...he moves his hand at the wrist.
But that's Lloyd!
