Purchasing 1st steel GFI EXPO or Sierra Artist your views

Post by Paul Taldone »

Looking to purchase 1st steel. Currently looking at a GFI EXPO and Sierra Artist from the same seller. Looking for people's views pros\cons on the steels. Not sure if I'm going to purchase either one looking for now but some input would be helpful. Both are S10 , would like a D10 but will be nice to sit at each one and play them . Thanks.

The GFI is still being manufactured. The Sierra Artist is not. If you need parts, or service, better to go with someone still in business. GFI has a great reputation, don't think you will go wrong and it has great resale value. If you don't like it, you'll get your money back.

I have been playing and working on GFI guitars for about 8 years. Very good service, Have a question, Send them an E-mail. You will get answer quick.
They have parts if needed with quick delivery.

The GFI guitars are also easy to work on, Change tunings and such.

I worked with a forum member. Had a Pedal rod lever screws break. GFI sent him a new cross shaft, Under warranty. I talked him through changing the cross shaft and getting the guitar pulls set up in tune.

Those stainless steel fingers are great too.

Had them both. With out a doubt, the expo is superior. RP
