Dan,
I switched from D10 to D12 in 2015. It took me about 6 months before I was totally comfortable. I added 2 strings on top on C6(#1-F#, #2-D, previously had a G on top), and an on Extended E9(#12-E, #11-A). I didn't realize how much I relied visually for my positioning.
My new Wide Body S12 is due to be delivered today!

Cases came in at Williams so everyone is getting delivery. I'll be playing another forum member's new Williams this weekend.

I just received mine and am going to post one photo here because I want to compose a separate thread in detail very shortly.......

This is a real custom build.....an S8 5&5 with 3/8" parallel
(or near parallel) string spacing and a four color burst finish......and a 2" width pad.....keyless.....
