With forum member Jim Bloomfield, playing some of Jim's originals at The Lion's Lair in Denver. It was just a one-shot deal a few years ago. We had a great time!

I love doing these and seem to be doing progressively more of them these days. One of the challenges that I enjoy - but I know not everyone does - is that some of the folks I play with who do covers are used to playing songs their way which might have impressively little to do with the way the songs actually go. Might even change, sometimes a lot, from gig to gig. These are almost all unrehearsed gigs and I think It’s good/fun brain exercise trying to keep up with the unexpected musical curveballs and still (hopefully)sound appropriately musical. W
