With all due respect Jack, I never stated any such thing. My comments have always been with regard to usefulness for each individual per DAW. I think if you look back you will find it is the Reaper crew who have stated that Pro Tools is on the way out and Reaper is the best " hands down"... there is no way I could know if Pro Tools is the best ever, I only have experience with 4 packages, mostly with Sonar and Pro-Tools , some exposure to Cubase and limited exposure with Reaper. The only one that I didn't like for me was Cubase. I can easily live with Sonar, Pro Tools or Reaper. I do however find the feature set of PT easier for me to work with, perhaps you are confusing that with "best ever".

My comments with regard to this thread is that that PRO TOOLS was blamed for the two issues, because that's what the thread title stated . If any package is reporting an error then maybe it is telling us something. That is what software is supposed to do.

Regardless, I am not an expert, never said I was and although I happen to like PT, I am glad you got the issues resolved.

Tony, I was looking for help with a new program when I posted as I knew there were Pro Tool users on the forum. I wasn't getting any help on the Avid forum or gearslutz forum and there was nothing in the Avid Support site about the two items. I wasn't posting to flame it. However, I got the impression that it was taken as I was.

Anyway, the problems, as I noted, have been resolved.
